The iconic Mr. T — known for his mohawk and layers of gold jewelry — stars in this animated series from the 1980s as he leads a group of eager, agile and ethnically diverse teen gymnasts through one exciting adventure after another. The team travels in their star-spangled bus to gymnastic competitions in exotic locations, uncovering mysteries and wrongdoings wherever they go … and doing gymnastics, of course!

 

Each episode begins and ends with Mr. T in live-action talking directly to the viewer, dispensing life lessons as only Mr. T can. These lessons, such as why you should be nice to the new kid and why you shouldn’t do something wrong, even if you think you’re doing it for a good reason, are then depicted in the episode for viewers to see.  And when Mr. T talks, kids listen!

 

Mister T aired on NBC on Saturday mornings from September 17, 1983 to September 6, 1986.
