MISS CASTAWAY AND THE ISLAND GIRLS (2004)

A spoof that combines Cast Away with Miss Congeniality, Planet of the Apes, Love Boat, Gilligan's Island, The Sixth Sense, Jurassic Park, and more. A plane carrying beauty pageant contestants heading for Japan makes an emergency crash landing on a remote deserted island. Captain Maximus Powers (Eric Roberts) and co-pilot Mike Saunders (Charlie Schlatter) have to take care of their passengers, while avoiding the dangers of Jurassic Pork (a giant prehistoric pig) and a group of apes busy trying to relaunch Noah's Ark.  Soon they encounter a R2D2-like droid that projects an image of agent M.J. (Michael Jackson) who has been assigned by the Vatican to manipulate the castaways for the Vatican's own purposes. Also features Stuart Pankin and Eric Marriott (“Joe Millionaire”). Jerry Lewis, Pat Morita and Bernie Kopell appear in cameo roles. (90 min)
