A onetime skiing champion and Czech defector (Sanna Vraa), who gave up her love child for adoption, comes to America after marrying a socialite shipbuilder (Stephen Collins). Consumed with a life of power and wealth, she still mourns for the loss of her baby and hires a private detective to find the boy. After twenty years, the marriage ends in a tabloid divorce, but she falls in love again with an old family friend and is finally reunited with her long lost son.
